Ruby’s Organics beef and lamb is sourced from OBMWA, Organic Biodynamic Meats Western Australia.
Their aim is to supply us with healthy organic meat, ensuring that the integrity of organic certification is kept from paddock to plate.
They emphasize animal welfare, sustainability and ecological sound practices. The animals roam freely and graze on healthy pasture which does not contain harmful synthetic chemicals, veterinary pharmaceuticals or growth hormones. Their organic livestock are never confined to feedlots or grain finished. Animals are hand selected and after processing, dry aged for 7 to 10 days for improved tenderness and eating quality.
Ruby's Organics lamb is sourced from various small production family run farms in the South-West of WA.
All farms have organic certification and in addition to the above points about how our beef is raised, they are raised in a stress free environment. The eating quality is world class, and has turned people from saying "I don't like lamb" (because they have only had supermarket lamb) to "I love this lamb - it doesn't taste like lamb!".
